Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Skiller ("we", "the app") handles your information when you use our iOS application. We're committed to keeping data collection to a minimum and being transparent about everything we do.

1. Information We Collect

Account information (only if you sign in)

• GitHub sign-in: your GitHub username, display name, avatar URL, and a short-lived OAuth token used to list your public repositories when you choose to submit one.
• Sign in with Apple: your Apple-relayed email address (or private relay address) and the display name you choose to share at first sign-in.

Submission data

• If you submit a Skill, we store the GitHub repository URL you selected, an anonymous user ID, and timestamps for review purposes.

On-device data (never leaves your device)

• Your favorited Skills and recently viewed Skills are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework.

What we do not collect

• No location data.
• No contacts, photos, or other device content.
• No third-party analytics SDKs are integrated.
• No personal advertising identifier — Skiller serves only non-personalized ads (see Section 3).

2. Third-Party Services

Skiller relies on the following third parties to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — hosts our authentication system and Skills database. supabase.com/privacy
• GitHub — provides OAuth sign-in and repository listing. GitHub Privacy Statement
• Apple — provides Sign in with Apple. apple.com/legal/privacy
• Google AdMob — serves banner advertisements in non-personalized mode. policies.google.com/privacy

3. Advertising

Skiller displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob. We have explicitly opted into non-personalized advertising (the npa=1 flag), which means:

• Ads are not targeted using your personal browsing history or interests.
• We do not request the App Tracking Transparency permission.
• AdMob may still process limited contextual data (such as approximate location and device type) to comply with regional advertising regulations and to prevent fraud. See AdMob's policy linked above.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account data: retained while your account exists. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Approved submissions: retained indefinitely as part of the public Skills directory, but detached from your user identifier upon account deletion.
• On-device data: stays on your device until you delete the app.

5. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your Skiller account at any time:

1. Open the app and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Delete account below your profile card.
3. Confirm the action.

This permanently deletes your account credentials and detaches you from any approved submissions. Local favorites stored on your device are not affected. The action cannot be undone.

6. Children's Privacy

Skiller is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing us at the address below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Skiller after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
